Alice in Wonderland

Alice.
I've always loved my middle name. When I was little, I really wanted it to be my first name for two reasons:
1. Alice in Wonderland was my favorite Disney movie.
2. I couldn't write Kirsten, but I could write Alice haha.

Ok yeah, there are some pretty freaky moments in which one might wonder if the story was inspired by a drug-induced haze. But hey, I'm not one to judge.

Flying away to Utah.

This picture was taken this past Thanksgiving of my beautiful nieces and nephews.
Tomorrow I'm flying to Utah to be with my family and meet the newest addition to the family. My niece Molly Alice Jacobson.
I will be sure to post pictures when I get back. I can't wait to be with my family!

Rain rain, don't go away.

Today it is raining.
I love the rain.
I love to nap and watch movies and read books when it's raining outside.
I also enjoy the occasional jumping in puddles.
I'm going to the rec center later for a run, and I'm so excited because I get
to watch the new episode of Make Me a Supermodel while I'm running.
It's been a wonderful day.
Then it's back to reality because I only have a week and a half left of school. It's crunch time.

Jackson Pollock

Last night for my Art History class, I had to watch the movie "Pollock" starring Ed Harris.
Jackson Pollock is one of those artists who I never really understood.
His work just seemed like something that anyone could do.
After watching this amazing film, I have so much more respect for his art.
As a human being, he wasn't the best, but as an artist, he had something rare.
He lived a tragic life full of alcohol and sorrow, and died at the age of 44 in a drunk driving accident. All of that potential and talent, lost. I'm glad we still get to enjoy his work even though it's been over 50 years since his death. I would recommend anyone who has their doubts about Jackson Pollock, to watch this truly moving film.

Spring has sprung!

It's here! Let's celebrate?
One of the things that I love about Texas are the bluebonnets. I have many fond memories of stomping the seeds into the ground and seeing people stop on the side of the highway to take family pictures with them haha. They are so beautiful and plentiful.
